PROCESS FOR CREATING A PANOGRAPHY

1. Choose subject.

2. Take at least 8 photos of your subject from wide, medium, close-up, vertical, etc. Think of this as a puzzle. You are taking pictures of your subject in pieces that you will later put together into a final image. MAKE SURE YOUR PICTURES OVERLAP WITH ONE ANOTHER.

3. Open your photos in Photoshop and make a collage.

HINT: Go to FILE > NEW and make your image 4,000 pixels wide by 3,000 pixels high and a resolution of 300. Open your photos and SELECT ALL > EDIT COPY and EDIT PASTE them into your new file. Free transform to resize your image. Color your background with the paint bucket.

Portfolio 6: Movie Poster

Create your own movie poster. Click the link below for some ideas on how to design a poster.

In Photoshop, create a new file for your poster by going to FILE-NEW. It should be 3000x4000 pixels with a resolution of 300.

YOU SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST 6 DIFFERENT LAYERS. You will need to add text and other graphics as needed. Suggested text: movie opening date, starring..., title, etc.

SEND ME A .PSD FILE AFTER YOU FINISH AND SAVE A .JPEG FILE FOR YOUR POWERPOINT.

Portfolio 6: Product Advertising

Your next assignment for Portfolio 6 is to pick a product and create an advertisement from scratch using Photoshop. Pretend you are creating an ad for a magazine. You will be creating a full page advertisement with dimensions of 7.5 inches (width) by 9.3 inches (height) and a resolution of 300. YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 6 LAYERS. You must save your final ad as both a photoshop file (.psd) and a jpeg (for your powerpoint). Email the .psd file to me.

To create a new file, click file and new, then type in the dimensions. Make sure the resolution is 300. Also make sure the images you choose are large enough that they don't pixelate. Create an ad for any project.

Pick three random tutorials to complete for today. Make sure to google photoshop cs6 tutorials. Look over the tutorials to make sure they are not too hard. Add all three before and after tutorials to portfolio 6. MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE A LINK TO THE TUTORIAL YOU USED.
